Opportunity Overview

Our client is a UK digital marketing agency that builds and maintains client websites to attract, engage and convert. This is a hands-on CMS production seat: you will build, edit and maintain live client sites on a page-builder CMS stack (their day-to-day work is mostly Joomla with YooTheme Pro, with some WordPress). You will turn designs, briefs and existing patterns into polished pages, keep live sites tidy, and work through an independent task queue with Slack, Google Drive and their client tools – with training on Joomla and YooTheme Pro if those are new to you.

Key Responsibilities

  • CMS page production – build and edit pages and sections from designs, briefs or existing patterns in the client's CMS and page builder.
  • Live-site care – update copy, content, imagery and layout on live client sites with a careful eye for spacing, alignment and consistency.
  • Responsive QA – check work across desktop, tablet and mobile so pages look finished and usable.
  • Light custom code – add short HTML, CSS or JavaScript where the page builder alone will not get there.
  • Queue ownership – work through a client task list independently, finish work properly, and join the weekly Monday meeting plus a short daily sprint.
  • SEO-ready builds – keep pages clear, structured and ready for calls to action.

Minimum Qualifications

  • CMS experience – competent, hands-on experience building and editing websites in at least one CMS (for example WordPress); Joomla is not required.
  • Page builder comfort – comfort with at least one visual page builder (for example Elementor, Divi or similar); YooTheme Pro is not required.
  • Willingness to learn – happy to learn a new CMS and page builder (Joomla + YooTheme Pro) with client training.
  • Detail and finish – a careful eye for spacing, alignment, consistency and spelling, and the habit of seeing work properly finished.
  • Independence – ability to work through a task list without constant direction.
  • Minimum of C1 English – spoken, reading, writing and listening.
  • UK hours – able and willing to work 9am–5pm UK time, Monday to Friday, with reliable internet for full-time remote work.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Joomla and/or YooTheme Pro experience (rare – the client trains on it).
  • HTML, CSS or JavaScript snippets beyond the page builder.
  • Basic SEO and site performance awareness.
  • Image editing and asset preparation.
  • Familiarity with hosting, DNS, SSL or migrations.
  • Experience with forms, integrations or e-commerce.

Benefits

  • Top-of-the-market pay.
  • Remote working.
  • Potential for flexible hours.
  • Becoming a part of Palm Outsourcing, where your performance is rewarded in long-term job security and continued growth opportunities.
